		<description>Yes they are, effective March 1, 2011, we no longer have an ambulance as a 1st responder. Apparently, lower income areas tend to call 911 for non-emergency needs. For example, if they don&#039;t have a ride or if they don&#039;t have the funds or insurance to seek medical attention, they will simply go to the emergency room by emergency means (ambulance). While Lakewood does not abuse this service, City of Dallas only sees black and white. Ambulance with a lower call volume equals a dispensable ambulance, regardless of the true nature of the calls they respond to. It makes me sick. City of Dallas truly does have their head where the sun doesn&#039;t shine.</description>

I would also like to know why Dallas cant do what FTW did and pass a $0.005 tax to fund city wide crime prevention. That&#039;s what funds the FTW NPOs and Air One (h-copter).</description>
