Garbage, Bulky Trash, Recycling

The City of Dallas Sanitation Services department provides pickup of garbage, bulky trash and recycling. To verify or learn your pickup days, visit the City of Dallas interactive map, enter your address and check the box (just below the box for zipcode) to list property information, city services, etc. As of December 2009, the pickup days for Lakewood Heights are listed below.

Garbage Collection - Monday and Thursday.
Residential garbage collection is provided in alleys, or if no alley is present, from the front curb. Detailed information, including what will and will not be collected, is found at the City’s Residential Garbage Collection web page.

Recycling Collection - Every other Thursday
Lakewood Heights is on the “Thursday B” schedule for Recycling Collection (again, if you have questions about the pickup schedule, head to the City of Dallas interactive map).  Visit GreenDallas.net to order a recycling cart or to learn more about recycling.

Brush/Bulky Trash Pickup - Third Week (third monday) of each month
Putting out brush/bulky trash can be costly! Learn more at the City’s Bulky Trash department or call 311 if you’re unsure when to place your brush or bulky trash at curbside.  Place your items out on the front curb for collection no later than 7:00 A.M. the Monday of your pick-up week. It is also important to remember that items should not be set out for pick up earlier than 7:00 A.M. on the Thursday preceding your collection week.
