Here’s how you can help:

Committees:
1.    Neighborhood Services –concerns regarding: trash and debris pick up, recycling, streets, street lighting, and utility service to the neighborhood. Seeks way to help neighbors in need to adequately maintain their property.  Includes Emergency Preparedness Plan updates and coordination.
2.    Zoning– issues regarding requests for zoning changes in LH or areas affecting LH.
3.    Communications – prepares and distributes the Heights Herald Newsletter (MS Publisher); graphic arts-signs, banners, fliers; Newsletter advertising; Web site-updates and development (Wordpress gurus especially!); LH Email Network updates and email news.
4.    Crime Watch – organizes crime watch groups in the neighborhood, coordinates with Dallas Police divisions; works with Street Reps to organize National Night Out events. Includes Emergency Preparedness Plan updates and coordination.
5.    Traffic – monitors and reports traffic problems.
6.    Tietze Park – Helps organize and conduct neighborhood Park events; coordinates clean-up, beautification efforts, and new development by city; monitors park equipment, buildings, lighting, maintenance, and recycling bin area; reports issues, problems, concerns to Dallas Park Department; works closely with FOTPF in park initiatives.
7.    Events – Plans, organizes, and conducts neighborhood events, working with other committee members for particular efforts.
8.    Fund Raising – Builds and maintains strong relationships with area businesses, organizations, and individuals to help raise funds for neighborhood needs.  We need your expertise and help with fund raising!
9.    Yard of the Month –  Encourages, recognizes, and celebrates the hard work of  creating  and maintaining a beautiful, healthy, water-wise yard. One property chosen per month.
